How verification works

Every profile marked Verified has been manually reviewed by our team before it appears in patient search. Self-reported listings without review are not published as verified directory entries.

What we check

  1. 1
    Professional identity

Legal name matches registration documents. Profile photo is a clear headshot of the listed clinician.

  2. 2
    License or registration

Valid license, registration, or council membership number for the jurisdiction where they practise (psychology, psychiatry, or counselling as applicable).

  3. 3
    Qualifications

Degree or training certificates relevant to the listed clinician type (e.g. MA/MPhil in Psychology, MD Psychiatry).

  4. 4
    Listing accuracy

Bio, specialties, languages, session formats, and countries served reflect actual practice. Misleading claims are grounds for removal.

Timeline

You can complete your profile and upload credentials in about 5–10 minutes. Our team typically completes manual review within 2–3 business days (often sooner). You'll receive email when your status changes. Until then, your listing is not shown as verified in public search.

What Verified does not mean

  • AsianTherapist does not employ clinicians and is not a party to your care.
  • Verified means we reviewed submitted credentials — not a guarantee of fit, outcome, or ongoing compliance in every jurisdiction.
  • We do not provide emergency or crisis services. Use local emergency services or the helplines on our crisis guide.
  • Cross-border telehealth may be restricted by law. Patients and clinicians are responsible for confirming care is lawful where sessions occur.
